Windrush - Australia's Southermost Santa Gertrudis Stud
Professors Paul and Paula Swatman are in the process of developing their property as a Santa Gertrudis Stud. We acquired three Santa hiefers (two pregnant) and one 3/4 Santa/Angus cross in 2011 and will buy in a further pregant heifer and 3 more 3/4 Santa/Angus cross heifer calves in the next couple of weeks.
The aim is to breed pure bred Santa Gertrudis cattle both directly from the pure bred herd and, through a breeding up programme, from the 3/4 cross herd.
Our first calf, a pure bred Santa (PrimroSe) was born to Rosie on 17 March 2010.
